VIDEO: Rehearsing for DANCE SALIDA DANCE at Salida Dance Studio

Here’s an interview with Salida Dance Studio co-directors JoDee Kane and Jaime Keating in January 2013 as their students prepare for the January 26 & 27 performances of DANCE SALIDA DANCE, an annual community dance celebration held at the SteamPlant in downtown Salida Colorado.

Students are shown practicing a hip hop number and a modern ballet piece.

The performances at DANCE SALIDA DANCE will combine an eclectic mix of modern dance, Broadway, tap, jazz, hip hop, tango, African and contra dance. Tickets are $15 for adults; $5 for students; children under 6 admitted free. Come support the Friends of the SteamPlant and the spirit of dance in the valley at Dance Salida Dance with a celebration of all the dancing that Salida has to offer on Saturday, January 26, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, January 27, 3 p.m. at the Salida SteamPlant Theater, 220 W. Sackett St. All proceeds from the second annual Dance Salida Dance will benefit Friends of the SteamPlant.
